La Feliz Guild
La Feliz Guild, established in 1949, is a devoted supporter of Valley Children’s Healthcare.
Founded by some of the “founding mothers” of the hospital, Agnes Crocket and Helen Maupin Ross, the guild has contributed over $3 million to Valley Children’s Hospital.
An annual event, Derby Down – A Day at the Races to Benefit Valley Children’s Hospital, serves as a key fundraiser.
Derby Down, held on the first Saturday in May coinciding with the Kentucky Derby, attracts over 800 guests. The event features Southern cuisine, mint juleps, and private satellite wagering on the Kentucky Derby. The funds raised support Valley Children’s Healthcare’s $5 million Guilds Center for Community Health endowment.
La Feliz Guild, beyond its fundraising efforts, engages in various community activities to support Valley Children’s Healthcare. The guild, composed of 50 upstanding women, remains dedicated to its mission of ensuring that every child in Central California has access to the highest quality healthcare.
